Ousley UMC invites you to attend our Black History Month Celebration during the month of February.
Theme: Black Women in American History & Culture: Past, Present & Future.
Each Sunday focuses on an area of interest which will enhance your knowledge of Black Women in American History.

Feb. 26 - Black Women in Politics & Education

Come join us 0n February 26, 2012 as we celebrate Black Women in American History & Culture: Past, Present & Future and partake in the Heritage Meal immediately following the worship service.

The United Methodist Children's Home in Decatur was chosen by the Home Depot Foundation to compete against three other non-profits this month in a Facebook contest. The winner receives $25,000 in Home Depot gift cards. The Children's Home will use the cards to build a new playground for their youngest children on campus. They have a large number of young children on campus right now, but their playground and recreational equipment is intended for older children. With the $25,000, they can build two additional play areas for the younger children and The Home Depot will send volunteers to help them do the work. They need your help to win the prize. Go to the Children's Home website (www.umchildrenshome.org) and click on 'Help us win $25,000.' You can vote once every 24 hours until February 23.
