The Music Ministry at Ousley captures one of the major characteristics of the church—our diversity. The musical repertoire covers anthems, hymns, spirituals, traditional gospel, contemporary gospel, contemporary praise, and sounds for the new generation. Six musical aggregations provide music for Sunday worship as well as all special occasions under the most capable direction of our Director of Music, Mr. Gerald Ricks.

One of the highlights of the year for the Music Ministry at Ousley is a special Christmas Musical production with full orchestra to kick off the Christmas Season. The Ousley church family and the community at large look forward to this spectacular Christmas Extravaganza at Ousley every year.
Whether it’s new generation praise on the Synthesizer, a soul stirring concerto on the Baby Grand, a captivating anthem or hymn on the Pipes, hot gospel on the Hammond, or a classic Black spiritual with melodious acapella voices, music is essential to worship as well as life itself at Ousley.
